THE CLASSICAL FLUTE AND GUITAR PROJECT
Noemi Gyori and Katalin Koltai have been playing together for over fifteen years and founded the Dialogue Duo during their first year of studies at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, back in 2002. They have performed across Europe at festivals such as the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland, the Thy Chamber Music Festival in Denmark and the Rhodes International Festival Greece; to name but a few. They have also actively collaborated with composers in Hungary, premiering new works dedicated to the duo, at major contemporary music events; usually broadcast by the Hungarian Radio. During their studies they worked, as a duo, with Géza Hargitai and Balázs Arnóth, and participated in the masterclasses of Rita Wagner, György Vashegyi, Craig Goodman, László Hadady, Daniel Blumenthal and Andras Adorjan.
Noemi and Katalin have always aimed to broaden the standard flute and guitar repertoire, producing elevating concert experiences that are particularly interesting to fellow professionals; as well as to the concert-going public. Through the “Classical flute and guitar project” they set out to reshape the perception of the flute and guitar duo by presenting unique recital programmes, featuring their own transcriptions of keyboard masterworks and historical publications; both specialities and original compositions from the 18th and 19thCenturies. Their concerts establish a new musical experience of the formation, offering a deeper understanding of the capabilities of the flute and the guitar by challenging the two instruments with a repertoire, and a style, of detailed and articulate chamber music performance which is traditionally associated with string and keyboard instruments.
In 2011, through collaboration with musicologist-guitarist Massimo Agostinelli, Noemi and Katalin discovered a large and valuable original oeuvre of the Italian composer Antonio Nava (1775-1826) which had not previously been published or recorded. Based on Agostinelli’s findings, the Dialogue Duo recorded their first album featuring these yet-unknown works by Nava. The album was released in the “World Premier Recordings” series on the Hungaroton label and gained widespread international critical acclaim.
The thorough research around the discovery of Nava’s music enabled the Dialogue Duo to gain elaborate knowledge of the flute-guitar music of that particular era and initiated the study of further resources in order to produce a new repertoire through transcription from the 18th and 19th Centuries. As a result of that, in recent years, Noemi and Katalin have turned their attention toward Viennese classical keyboard works in particular, and have launched the “Classical flute and guitar project”.

BAREFOOT MUSICIANS
The Barefoot Musicians was founded by guitarist Katalin Koltai and singer Eva Bodrogi in 2006. Clarinetist Zsolt Bartek joined the group as its third permanent member in 2009.
The ensemble is founded on the notion that one's approach to music should always endeavor to be fresh and unencumbered -- hence, barefoot.
Through their years of formal training the musicians and collaborating artists have absorbed the traditions and foundational knowledge of their craft; still, their chief aim is to approach their music/art in the spirit of play, experiment and discovery, and to transmit this enthusiasm to a broader audience.
The ensemble share a passion about new music and the creation of interdisciplinary performances. They strive to bring the works of contemporary composers to the stage, as well as showing older works in a new light by playing them in combination with related modern pieces.
The goal of the three musicians is to provide artists from diverse fields opportunities for creative work and self-expression. Their projects, which have included chamber music, interdisciplinary performances, youth projects, and forays into contemporary experimental music, all aim to foster the open and candid – and thus "barefoot" - communication so vital to beginning a dialogue between artists and audience members of diverse backgrounds, as well as to making classical and contemporary music accessible to and enjoyable for a wider audience.
